There are certain steps that must be done to become an ALRadio DJ but nothing too scary or hard! This should be the first page you should read before applying to be an ALRadio DJ. This page is basically a description of each position at ALRadio as well as their responsibilities. The higher you go on the ladder the greater the responsibility. Below are the basic responsibilities of each DJ when they are part of the ALRadio Team. Each DJ and Staff member is expected to meet the following expectations.

Owner
Responsibilities:

Make sure the radio is running smoothly (No D/C'd Playlisters, DJ's are on)

Server related issues are handled

Email//speak on behalf of ALRadio when contacted for professional reasons

Look over DJ Applications

DJ Interviews

Head DJ
Responsibilities:

Make sure all DJ's are DJing on schedule

Connect DJ's onto the server for their session

Make sure the Playlister is connected during a non-DJ period

Moderate the Chat Room

Look over DJ Applications

DJ Interviews

Responsible for the "DJ Judgement Day Conversation"

Host Skype Meetings

Take care of late/sick calls for DJs


Co-Head DJ
Responsibilities:

Make sure all DJ's are on schedule

Moderate Chat Room

Participate in the "DJ Judgement Day Conversation"

Take care of late/sick calls for DJs

Connect DJ's onto the server for their session


Full-Time DJ
Responsibilities:

Arrive on time for their DJ Session

Must report a leave of absence/sick/late message to a higher up as soon as possible

Moderate Chat Room

Participate in DJ Events


Part-Time DJ
Responsibilities:

Must DJ at least 2 hours/week

Must report a leave of absence/sick/late message to a higher up as soon as possible

Participate in DJ Events


Tryout DJ
Responsibilities:

Must DJ for a month which is equivalent to 4 days in a month for 2 hrs each day (Total of 8 hrs/month)

If a Tryout DJ is requested to extend their tryout period, they must be willing too

Must inform a Owner, Head, or CO-head DJ 2 days before their session if they will be away/late

Must show up to their scheduled day/time

Must be set up BEFORE their session start time (6pm OR 7pm)


Playlister
Responsibilities:

Must make sure is connected at all times

Must put their music to various music genres (shuffle)

but have autoconnect set at atleast 15 seconds or more

Must be able to be contacted at ALL times.


Chat Moderator
Responsibilities:

Make sure the chat is running smoothly

Ban/Kick disrespectful people

Make sure the content in the chat is PG-13 (Before 9PM)

Make sure all users in the chat who HAVE a nickname are voiced

Warn then Kick guests without a nickname

Encourage people to register their nicknames.
